Classical Conditioning

Lately the main focus of our learning as been regarding conditioning. We were told to do an experiment to condition someone of something so i decided to try out my knowledge on the Mrs., aka Emily Dobratz. This past weekend the Green Bay Packers went head to head against the fierce Eagles. I figured this would be a great time to try out my C.C. skills. *Cough* Reach for the remote. My goal was that every time I would cough, Emily would expect me to reach for the remote and maybe even take it into her own hands and hand me the remote after she heard me cough. Unfortunately it took the NS to turn into the CS took much longer than expected but in the end it paid off because now when ever we are watching TV and I would like to use the remote, all i have to do is cough and *BOOM* she hands me the This relates to the Dogs and ringing the bell because its a learned behavior that they normally wouldn't associate with the NS. And it is highly likely that the learned behavior will become extincted over time, meaning she will stop associating handing me the remote with me coughing and when that comes around, it looks like a will have to do it myself. :(
